Match Play vs Par is an individual event where every player faces the same fictional opponent: Old Man Par. Old Man Par is a scratch golfer who records a net par on every hole.
Your total stroke score does not determine the result. The goal is simply to win more holes than Old Man Par wins.

How Scoring Works
Regular match-play scoring is used on each hole by comparing your net score with Old Man Par's net par.
NET BIRDIE OR BETTER = Win the hole
NET PAR = Tie the hole
NET BOGEY OR WORSE = Lose the hole
The player who finishes with the best match-play result against Old Man Par wins the tournament.
